DNA Replication

 

  1. Original DNA strand

  2. The double helix unzips, separating the bases from its complementary base

  3. New nucleotides fit into position on the father strands by complementary base-pairing

  4. The enzyme DNA polymerase causes new nucleotides to join together.

  5. Two Half “old” and Half “new” new identical copies are created called daughter strands.
